A Mouride Think Tank for virtuous development
Murid Institute (MI) is a Think Tank bringing together Mouride researchers and intellectuals to promote a religious, academic, political, economic and media intelligentsia.
Its mission: to lastingly embed a virtuous vision of economic and social development in public policy in Senegal and Africa, inspired by religious and traditional values.

Supporting the renewal of Knowledge in Touba
Since 2018, Cheikh Mouhamadoul Mountakha Mbacké has clearly shown the priority he gives to Knowledge and to developing education in Touba. He launched one of the largest educational projects of post-independence Senegal, the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim Complex, a complete education system: Quranic education, Islamic education (Majalis), vocational training and a university.
This will of the General Khalif of the Mourides has met with a favorable response from the whole scientific and intellectual community: the Mouridiyya has never seen so many doctoral theses and publications.
Murid Institute wishes to support this scientific renewal by encouraging excellence and talent within the Mouride community and beyond.
